I think Adobe Reader updated itself recently. One thread here says there may be a conflict with Adobe Reader 9. I know I've installed a few programs between the time XPS worked and now, but none are "printer" related, so I can't imagine they screwed something up. However, the XPS writer works from Notepad. The errors occur after I click print and before the XPS writer asks for the output file name. All are vague, and simply say the print failed. Now, mysteriously, the XPS writer has ceased to function.įrom Firefox, IE8, Office 2007 Word and Excel, and Wordpad I get a variety of error messsages. Test: Open Quickbooks and open any invoice and Click File and Save as PDF and save to the desktop and check if that invoice got saved as PDF.With my new Win7 system I discovered the Microsoft XPS Document Writer and used it infrequently to "print" a few web pages from my browser.
